West African food- primarily Liberian was served to a housefull of hungry returned Peace Corps Volunteers and their friends.
Palm Butter, Cassava Leaf, Peanut Soup, and Potato Greens were among the dishes served along with a selection of home brewed beers.
The Pigout became too popular for the Waite house to handle and was held in later years at Leach Gardens, the World Forestry Center, and the Vancouver Unitarian Universalist Church
